Trackli Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Trackli is a web-based tool that helps users track expenses, manage budgets, create spending plans, manage planned spending categories with recurring and rollover budget options, set and track savings goals, project bank balances up to 12 months ahead via a spreadsheet ledger forecast, view 7-day balance forecasts, calculate net worth (assets minus liabilities), manage recurring transactions, import bank statements, gain visual spending insights, set smart budgets with rolling support, define custom categorization rules and merchant mappings, and monitor maaser/giving (including recurring donations). Trackli offers two subscription tiers:

• Standard ($3/month or $30/year): Manual transaction entry, CSV/PDF bank statement imports, custom categories and subcategories, spending plans, planned spending category management (with recurring, one-month, and rollover budget options), savings goals with contribution tracking, bank balance projections (12-month spreadsheet ledger forecasting), recurring transaction management, rolling budget support, custom categorization rules and merchant mappings (with re-apply functionality), import history tracking, advanced analytics, maaser tracking, and CSV export. All entries and categories are unlimited.
• Premium ($5/month or $50/year): All Standard features plus automatic bank account synchronization via Plaid integration, real-time balance updates, automatic transaction imports from connected financial institutions, automatic application of your categorization rules and merchant mappings to synced Plaid transactions, ability to link manual accounts to bank connections, and multi-account dashboard views.

2. No Financial Advice Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: The Service does NOT provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or professional accounting advice. All data and insights are for informational purposes only. We are not financial advisors, accountants, or tax professionals.

You are solely responsible for your financial decisions. We are not liable for any financial losses, tax liabilities, investment outcomes, or consequences arising from your use of the Service. Consult qualified professionals for specific financial guidance.

3. Account Terms

You must be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent to use the Service. Accounts are for individual personal, non-commercial use only — one account per person.

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information and inputting correct data.
• Maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access via getontrackli@gmail.com.

4. Subscriptions & Payment Terms

• Pricing: Standard tier is $3.00/month or $30.00/year. Premium tier is $5.00/month or $50.00/year. Annual billing saves approximately 17% (equivalent to 2 months free). All prices in USD and subject to change with reasonable notice.
• Free Trial: New users receive a 30-day free trial with full access to either Standard or Premium tier features (your choice at signup). No credit card required to start. During the trial, you have complete access to all features of your selected tier, including Plaid bank connections if you choose Premium.
• Billing: Subscriptions auto-renew at the selected interval via Stripe. You authorize recurring charges if you add a payment method during or after the trial.
• Refunds: All sales are final. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods, unused portions of subscriptions, or post-trial charges, except as required by law or at our sole discretion. Contact support for exceptional circumstances.
• Cancellation: Cancel anytime via your account settings or Stripe customer portal. Access continues until the end of the current billing period (no prorated refunds). Trial cancellations end access immediately with no charges.
• Post-Cancellation/Trial End: Data retained for 30 days (to allow reactivation); may then be permanently deleted.

5. Third-Party Services

All payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We do not store your credit card information — Stripe handles all payment data securely.

We use Supabase for database hosting, authentication, and storage. Your data is subject to Supabase's Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.

Premium tier users who connect bank accounts use Plaid for secure bank connections and transaction synchronization. By connecting a bank account, you agree to Plaid's End User Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Plaid accesses your financial institution on your behalf to retrieve account balances and transaction history. We store encrypted Plaid access tokens but never see or store your banking credentials. You can disconnect your bank accounts at any time from your account settings. We are not responsible for the practices or policies of these third-party services.

6. Acceptable Use

You retain ownership of your entered data (expenses, budgets, tithes/maaser, etc.) and grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, display, and use it solely to provide and improve the Service.

Prohibited conduct includes: illegal/fraudulent activities, hacking/reverse-engineering, scraping/automated access, overloading servers, impersonation, or sharing accounts. Violations may result in immediate suspension or termination.

7. Service Availability & Updates

We strive for reliability but offer no 100% uptime guarantee. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features or the Service (in whole or part) with reasonable notice where possible (e.g., for scheduled maintenance). Updates (bug fixes, new features) may be applied automatically.

8. Data & Content

You own your data, including expenses, spending plans, planned spending categories and budget configurations, savings goals, projections, recurring transaction configurations, categorization rules, and merchant mappings. We are not liable for loss — back up regularly using CSV export. CSV imports are provided "as is" (accuracy depends on your files). We are not responsible for errors in imported data, especially from bank statements or financial CSV files.

Projections and Forecasts: Bank balance projections, 7-day balance forecasts, spending plan forecasts, and savings goal estimates are based on the data you provide and your configured recurring transactions. These are informational tools only and should not be relied upon for financial decisions. Actual results may vary significantly from projections due to unexpected expenses, income changes, or data entry errors.

Sensitive Financial Data: You acknowledge that bank statements and financial CSV files contain highly sensitive personal information. You are responsible for ensuring the security of files you upload and should only upload data you are comfortable storing in the cloud. We encrypt data in transit and at rest, but no system is completely secure.

9. Intellectual Property

The Site, Service, content, designs, and features are owned by Trackli LLC or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license for personal use only. No copying, modifying, distributing, or commercial use without permission.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, express or implied (including merchantability, fitness for purpose, non-infringement). No warranty of uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or accuracy of data/results.

Not financial advice — we are not liable for any financial losses, decisions, tax consequences, or inaccuracies from using the Service. You assume all risks associated with your financial decisions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability (and affiliates/licensors) is limited to the lesser of $100 USD or the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months. No liability for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, punitive damages (e.g., data loss, business interruption), even if advised of the possibility.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Trackli LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use or misuse of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party rights; or (d) any content or data you submit or upload.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for violations, non-payment, or at our discretion. You may cancel anytime via your account settings or Stripe customer portal. You may also permanently delete your account directly from your account settings, which triggers immediate cancellation of your Stripe subscription and a full cascade deletion of all your data (expenses, spending plans, planned spending, savings goals, categorization rules, import history, and Plaid connections). Upon termination or deletion: access ends; data retained 30 days to allow reactivation, then permanently deleted.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objections to venue or inconvenient forum.

Any cause of action must be commenced within one (1) year after it accrues, or it is permanently barred.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any referenced policies constitute the entire agreement between you and Trackli LLC, superseding all prior agreements, understandings, or communications (written or oral) regarding the subject matter herein.
